Got emailed half of the GCSEs this morning. Woke up to a hum of vibrations as Facebook burst into life.
-
• #61
Meh, surprisingly I'm less nervous this year than i was last year. Your results day is next week?
-
• #62
We got five of them today; ad maths, bio, phys and both englishes.
Yeah I was pretty nervous all the days leading up, refused to talk about it, but this morning, after seeing what some other people got, I was a lot less afraid.
Still got the rest to come including French and geo.

-
• #68
Anyone?
-
• #69
My last A LEVEL EXAM I'LL EVER HAVE TO SIT FOREVER on Tuesday. Has been a rough week and a half. Wbu?
A2 has been lol; a task but nearly finished :D
-
• #70
Ha, Good luck. Thought they would have finished. What is it?
Finished on Friday with C4. Maths spread over 6 weeks was a pain, hard to keep caring. And M2, right at the beginning, set the depth of penetration for which OCR royally fucked us.
Got our predicted grades back and they looked noice.
-
• #71
Physics, went alright tbf, physics usually has generous grade boundaries; around 70% for A, so fingers crossed.
How does this new A level stuff work then?
-
• #72
Maths remained unreformed. So just like normal.
And I do Pre-U physics and chemistry so only have external exams for them next year (U6th) so I don't really know.
Predictives were based on internals (I'm L6th)Generous grade boundaries are just the best thing. Good times then if phys was good...

• #73
How was results day?
-
• #74
Pretty good for me,
Bagged the A* in single math averaging 97ish UMS (including M2 (further maths) which I'll be retaking) so well on track.Really surprised tbh, thought I'd royally fucked up.
Personal statement will be a bitch seeing as I haven't really started yet.
You?
-
• #75
v nice man, this yr's results day definitely beats last years. came out with AAB in the end, highlight was 100ums in C2 (retake ;) ) and 98 UMS in M1.
I wouldnt get too hung up about personal statements tbh, uni's i think care more about predicted grades but i think you'll be fine with that
Anyone doing of mice and men and kindertransport in gcse lit tomorrow ?
