  • Black and gold is pretty always sexier. But this time it needs to be an italian one ! Checked on ebay, awfully expensive...

  • fucking ace .. bling brakes for the rest of the build ;)

wasnt this SS last year? Also EC90 or 70x?

  • Hubs by DuraAce, brakes by Sora (ghetto sealed cabling model's own).

It was SS, now 42 x 12-30 10sp made from Shimano 600, 6600 and 6700. All the easton bits are basic old EA70.

  • oh I thought they were TRP .. how do they perform with cable pull?

  • Really well actually – hilariously good for £13. They're best setup pretty close to the rims (which is typical of vs I think).

I don't miss the canti's when hustling this on mtb trails!

  • Been getting a few miles in on this, in preparation for touring on it next week. Great bike, rides well all round, descends excellently... Had to put a spare Thomson on as the carbon post I had on there got damaged by the clamp (although I torqued it to 5nm)

  • I think your only 'cheap' option if needs to be all Italian is Miche track chain. But seriously, it is just a chain. Just buy whatever is good for the money. I regret (sort of) spending all that money on my Bianchi, I could have just made it ride nicely for a fraction of that and bought nice cycling clothing instead... I ended up selling it and never made any money on it. It was pretty though ;-)

  • hhsb-mode on

  • Damn, I like those Ridley Oval. What's this bar?

Nelson between two versions, track and daily. I should put back a brake, but I cannot do that with the Alpina.

  • It's the cheapest carbon riser i found on ebay. It's a bit too short though, as i cut it a few years ago when i didn't understand the comfort of wider bars. I should order a new one.

  • "catene ciclo" (but that just means bicycle chain right?)

Yes, also known as fahrradkette if @malou is prepared to accept German rather than Italian, any of the Wippermann track chains would work. No brass plated ones, but the nickel plated silver 108 or 1R8 would look OK

  • Cheers man. Campy Omega 19 / Campy Pista Low Flange

  • Doesn't look too bad. Maybe because I'm used to 40cm bars. Thanks I will probably try to find something like this if I decide to switch to riser.

  • I think mine's 38cm or something. 5-10cm wider would be great on this for me. Had a 68cm on my pompino and it was great but tried it on this once and it was too wide for this bike

Atleast it's not an expensive bar and it's always fun to swap bars Every now and then, it keeps the riding more fun

  • Is that randoneur trail you are using? How is it?
    Considering buying it from lordgun.

  • Salmon is comming together. Seatpost and front break orderd, just need to decide whether to put risers or compacts on. Leaning towards compacts atm.

  • Tastefully stickerbombing the components (rims/hubs/seatpost/bars) of a stupidly posh/iconic carbon frame is a really shit idea, (and not the beauty/beast commentary on the disconnection strands of wealth in society or funky urbanising a la Mike Giant Ram handlebars?)...

    Isn't it?

  • dibs whenever you sell if it is indeed the size it looks and hopefully doesnt have to much funky french threads..

  • Latest discoveries: (luck inside)

    Hummm Shamal

Aero Lo Pro "Soudures et Mesures Garanties" Jean Frelat:

    Brothers

    Ambrosio/Mondrian

    Surprise

    Ohh, other surprise:

  • So much good!

  • Will have some busy weeks: this one entered the day before yesterday and needs some work (Colnago Master first generation):

  • Noted. It's size 53 and french threads galore.

  • better pics asap

  • @HACHA

Wow, seeing your post (nice collection :) ) cleared up what the make of my frames is! I have owned it for years, never was able to find out what it was despite its characteristic details.

    Thanks!!

This is it (very old build), same dropouts and similar Columbus Air like tubing.

Do you know anything about the brand that you could share?
