If I were buying complete I'd be more inclined to go for the arkose 3 with 105 for an extra ton...
As frame was thinking of shopping about for higher spec but second hand sram x1 group and decent wheels which would help reduce the weight a bit, but this is totally untested/proven ideas.
It looks a lot of fun...

Nah, the Arkose Two is brilliant as it is, especially with 10 speeds (11 speed wear out surprisingly quick, not useful as a tourer I found).

Thought a few people in here might find this interesting - apologies if it's already popped up and I've missed it.
Velo Orange have been publishing a few photos of a new frame on their blog. Piqued my interest quite a bit!
Could be a 700c/Disc version of their Polyvalent? If so, would that make it the first OTP low-trail disc thingummy?

Readers.
As if you haven't seen this enough. -

Yes, the butterfly bars. Or "Brezel" bars. They are everywhere. Like a minefield for the eyes.

Planning a functional fixed so I dropped into BC to have a look at a steamroller. Only to find that surly have specced the steamroller without eyelets on the front fork, not very functional.
So would appreciate suggestions for alternatives.
Only real absolute requirements are eyelets f&r and not canti/v brakes.

Look at Pelago San Sebastián, it's everything a Steamroller is missing.

Does it have to be new?
Dawes and Ridgeback made fixed road oriented bikes with mudguard mounts. Or most bike with flat rear dropouts could be drilled and tapped for rear guards then just replace the fork.
Otherwise new look at Pearson - very nice in the flesh.
Also have a search for fox's thread about fixed frames with mudguard eyes and bottle bosses.

That's a pretty epically practical build. But fuck me that's an appalling photo.
Buy the whole bike (this one:http://www.evanscycles.com/products/pinnacle/arkose-two-2015-adventure-road-bike-ec071306)
Because I can't work out how you'd do it cheaper.
Also is fun as all hell.
