Your mission is to get this in to Porn
Might be difficult with that curious long (mid?) cage mech
-
• #5
how the fuck does that happen?
-
• #6
-17 stem, photoshop the spacers, matching bottles and all black cages, valve, crank alignment in photo, tape matching saddle .. its not too far off tbh.
What does '71' on ST stand for?
-
• #7
71 is afaik the year cannondale began operations
-17 looks goofy on bikes with sloping tubes unless back crushingly long 130mm etc
-
• #8
Simply write 'Colnago' on it......

Stem will be what fits me, spacers above stem will be chopped off. Saddle is black and white so half matches.
Not spending more for all black cages.
As for photo composition and align all the things >>>>>
The bike seems to work, it got me round the MAMIL playground.

It's the medium cage, which will accommodate the 32t cassette. Given I prefer to sit and spin it works for me.

I genuinely came here to see some sort of chariot.
Hope the new bike is fun.
Needs 'mamil' decals...

I like them and that is a nice colour scheme. If I had the funds it what I would get, although I probably could never do it justice!
Whats it weigh?

Think I mentioned it elsewhere but hired one of these on Mallorca in May and it had to go back to the hire place day 2 to fix hideous BB noises based on Cannondale's factory builds being really skimpy on grease. Was on point after that.

The carbon synapse looks great. Really like the seatpost entry.
Lemme know if you decide to sell those Aksium disc wheels (6 bolt?)
:) -
• #15
Sorry
I'll keep them as a backup set of wheels as they could work on two bikes I own.

Missing oversize saddle bag.
-
• #17
I do have one so it can take my epipen.
-
• #18
Don't be sorry, fair shout! Enjoy riding it!

Looks rad! Was going to say a trek Boone might have suited with the seat mast design.
-
• #20
cheers
am pretty chuffed with it

Not sure if Cannondale still do this, but when I bought a CAAD10 a few years ago, the Carbon seatpost was actually carbon-wrapped alloy. Check it out as full carbon should make it even more comfy.

Tubeless Schwalbe Ones now installed. Front went on easily, rear was refusing to seat with only a track pump. Called my LBS Neil's Wheels in Kingston to borrow their improvised charging chamber (a 2l coke bottle with a couple of valves so you can pump up the bottle to 50psi and then unleash the large volume of air in one go). They said "sure, but try just pumping without the valve core. And presto job done.
Sealant now in the tyres, shaken around and no bubbles.
Now just waiting for appointment with @scherrit to get fit dialled in. It's his fault I am getting married, I thought my now fiancé's dog was Fettle his hound at West Drinks a few years ago, instead it transpired that the viszla was Olive. So I mistakenly started trying to interact with Olive which then allowed me to start a conversation with my wife to be. The bike is an engagement gift.

Nice! due to my recent injury I've been looking at these too. Bit more 'sensible' on the terrible road surfaces down here in Cornwall. Do not want one of the new green ones though! Also looking at the Giant defy advanced pro DI2. Anyways, looks really good, enjoy the ride, great engagement gift!

All I need now is Rapha data print kit.

what he said, great engagement gift, enjoy
I wanted a bike with electronic shifting, hydraulic disc brakes, compliance for my damaged back, that takes similar spec wheels as the commuto x bike.
Cannondale Synapse met those requirements and the geometry/fit is nearly identical to my custom made bikes. When the 2016 bikes were published I was gutted as the plain black and white bike with perfect spec for me was being replaced with a green frame but identical spec.
I had been eyeing the bike up for a while and the prices got reduced and very quickly the size and spec I wanted started to sell out. Luckily Sigma still had one in stock with 15% off and they agreed to price match with Westbrook cycles who only had one of the bikes left in stock at 20% off and it was my size.
The stock wheels are mundane mavic aksiums but they will make a perfect spare wheelset for either this or the commuto x bike.
Fabric Spoon Saddle was not too comfortable so have swapped it for an Arione that was in my parts bin that matches the new bike.
Reynolds Assault wheels arrived today, and when the Schwalbe one tyres arrive they will be set up tubeless.
Steerer needs chopping but I hope to see @scherrit to get it dialled in. Also stock bars are 44 cm, my chest is not so wide so think these will need to be replaced with a 42 but again want a fitters advice on this.
So far these are the bits that have been taken off and this is the new toy as it stands.
