My experience was better, coz the groom himself is also a photographer so we made a list to ensure everyone would be included and I got 1 member of each family to direct people so we are good with that. Not as many candid shots as I would like coz all thebkey people we're rushing around and guests we're just sat in a horrible hotel lobby waiting aimlessly. Not exactly pretty photo, is it?
And the whole precoedding was so delayed coz the groom was late and by the time everyone had calmed down, it was almost dark and some of the key pics are shit.
I tried to be as bossy as possible, but if the couple ain't moving, who was I to tell them what to do in their big day? I am just really upset the groom sold me out by telling the parents I was also in charge of the video.
Lol. My mate did a friends wedding under the provision that he was doing it as a friend, for free and is not a professional.
Then afterwards, various family members moaned about not being in pictures with such and such blah blah blah.
Also, apparently people were trying to direct him and telling him what to do like he was just some schmuck pressing a button and didn't have any artistic control whatsoever.
Tl;dr: avoid.
