Thank you, I put an order in the day after reading your post.
how long did delivery take?
-
• #2303
No worries. Well I pre-ordered mine last Feb, and it took about three months to arrive as it hadn't been made at the time of purchase. I'm not sure what they said for regular delivery, but I'm sure yours will be quicker than that!

hopefully they work for you, i had a try with the vaypor s, they threw a big fold as i closed them down to snug tight.

I had Vaypor CTT in 42W (too narrow), Vaypor plus in 44w (too long), and now these in 43w. The fit is sublime.
The closure is the best yet. The way each boa pulls 2/3 of the opening, allows me to get them snug, without creating any focused pressure.
They look incredibly understated on. Considering how technical they really are.

Bont sell 'the' entry level road shoe.
The riot.
Fully moldable carbon. Stiff as feck. Light. Awesome support from wrap around sole.

The riot
Is it wide? I wear Sidi Mega in 43
-
• #2310
Not sure the riot comes in wide.
Check out sigma sport. They have some great deals on.
Bonts last years.

Use the Bont size finder.
I'd be a mega 43/44 in sidi. 43w is perfect in bont.
I'd offer to sell you my Vaypor + for cheap. But I'm halfway through a ghetto speedplay drilling experiment.

I've a reasonably wide foot and get on really well with the standard Bontrager pro last - have conceded they fit me better than any others I've tried, for once head ruled over heart and I got the RL mtb over Giro Privateer as my Classique just fit so well.
Worth trying some as you can always fall back on the unconditional guarantee and return them after thrashing them for up to 30 days if you don't get on with them.

All Bonts are wide compared to Sidis. Worth giving them a try, fit couldn't be much more different.
-
• #2317
I read that the Bonts are supposed to let your toes splay out, so they feel very different from traditional shoes.
They're on my 'to buy' list. My current shoes are dying. -
• #2318
Yeah, most shoes esp Sidi have more of a 'dress toe' whereas Bont are more shaped to your foot with the big toe furthest forward. Bontrager are somewhere in the middle: not as extreme as Bont but with a more blunt toe than a more traditional shoe. Bonts may not fit so well if you have monkey feet like me with long toes.
-
• #2319
Hmm. My feet are odd, on one the big toe is bigger, on the other the second toe is longest.
Still, I can get the Vaypor S right now for 150 quid. Which is mighty tempting. -

Non black overshoes to see off a bit of cold air? Ideally something a bit lairy (so perhaps not "stylish" as such) Won't need to be waterproof as I'm Captain fairweather, but I do late evenings in the GMT.
Edited to make more sense.

That's not really an overshoe.
These don't look bad:

Very bland. Anything with a bit of zing?
-

Black overshoes with zing?
Castelli make a silver overshoe. Many brands make them in fluro yellow. For glitter you might need to get the PVA out.

Ahhh, bad grammar. Non "boring black" overshoe. For boring black ones I'd order some Rollapaluza ones, but want something to go/clash with my mash dnd gloves.
