Poor Joey. Well suited to West Ham he was.
Mind you, he could never have filled the void left by Carlton Cole.

thrushy has a good turn of speed, those first 4 steps are lightning

You're just trying to deflect us from discussing the constructive dismissal of Eva.

With the fat jibes and banning doctors, this looks like he's finally completely jumped the shark and we could be in for a season-long brainfart. Incitatus as assistant manager by xmas.

• #118440
well he got his new contract
if he gets fired he knows he gets a big fat payout, much harder to sack nowand it would take chelsea close to £70mn in wages and payouts for their managers in the last few years

What "facts" do we know about Dr Carniero's present situation?
- Hazard was clattered to the ground. The player who clattered him was booked for the challenge. Hazard stayed down possibly winded; probably tired towards the end of the game.
The referee waved towards Carneiro. She ran onto the pitch. The player didn't need attention, just to get his breath back. He had to leave the pitch for the free kick which, as Chelsea only had eight outfield players on against ten defending players and a goal keeper, came to nothing.
Mourinho thought that, given the nature of the injury and the tactical position in the game, the doctor should have waited. He expects medical staff working in the environment that they do to understand such things.
He remonstrated with her. Not outrageously but made his point clear. He repeated the point to the press.
- There has been a reorganisation of medical staff at Chelsea.
It is unclear and unknown whether there is any connection between the two.
There is a huge fuss about it because, as well as being part of one of the best medical teams in Europe, Caneiro is also a woman.
Why shouldn't a woman occupy that position? If she does, why should she not be subject to the same rules as any man?
dicki, can you name Liverpool's doctor?
Without googling...

Numbers went awry. Second 1. should be 2.

Did we make any fuss when Dr Iqbal was tossed aside by Brenda?

Mourinho thought that, given the nature of the injury
Thrushy is not qualified to assess the nature of the injury, Eva is. It's her call as a medically trained person. If the ref waves her on I'd say it's within her duty of care to go on. Mou can get to fuck on this one.

How does she know the nature of the injury until she checks him out?
-
• #118446
If she does, why should she not be subject to the same rules as any man?
The rules are; if you're a doctor you have a duty of care to the players, the manager doesn't make the call, ultimately you answer to the GMC.

If the player didn't need attention then he should have made it clear to the bench that he was just wasting a bit of time getting his breath back trying to drag out the game and cling on to the draw.

Basically everyone is a cunt but Eva
-
• #118449
Yep. Potential Injury > Result. It's better the doctor does not care about tactics, or the state of the game, for this reason.

Chelsea were shit tho, dropping 2 points at home on the first day of the season. WTF has Mourinho bee up to on the off season? His players just don't look prepared.
So just outside the playoffs again?
