  • The DSA Hazard perception software is really badly designed, and you can press that space bar at the right time, but if you don't press it for long enough it might not register.
    I recall having to be really deliberate with my space bar presses.

    Sometimes also, what you think is a hazard they don't and the answer actually comes later in the video, or you can spot it developing ages before they think you can, so if you spot it too early you won't get any marks.

  • This! I just scraped my car hazard as I'd been pressing the button for hazard too soon. Their argument was 'it hadn't developed into a direct hazard yet', my argument was 'that truck is coming down a side road to my road, so it will very highly likely become a hazard, I should at least be thinking about it no?', their response to my response 'you shouldn't be looking that far away from the road when driving'......

    As everyone knows, its not a test that makes you a good driver, its just a test you have to pass before you can actually learn how to do it right.
