Been building this up very slowly over the last year, mostly comprised of ebay finds and the odd new part. I'd originally gone with gears - too much faff for me though, I'm set on SS now with a Beer Components EBB. Just waiting on Sugino 46t front chainring, pedals and bar tape.
I'm still not sure what wheels to go with, it has ultegra tubeless at the mo, a little on the heavy side but hassle-free, have some carbon tubulars which are nice and light but would obviously not be commuting-friendly.

It handles differently of course, but the fit is pretty much identical.

Put on some risers today, got to hunt around for my spare spds and change the wheels to something more suitable.

Rebuilt up the old Viking track recently as it never sold, and fitted it with a nice Major Taylor style adjustable stem, that looks to me to be homemade by someone in the past, or a t least, home-altered. Been using it as a daily work bike for a bit, and may re-fit it with mudguards for winter.

Would I be able to run 11 speed shimano road on this wheel?
It mention it can run 11 speed but not sure if it is mountain or road.

SMP Composit and saddle bag done by mackworkshop, that one is slightly unique as it's a jersey pouch with strap on it.

Finally put a basket on a bike, needs some drilling and cutting to tweak it though

If it said Shimano 11 speed, then it's 11 speed.

I think he's asking if mtb cassettes are a different spacing or something.
-
• #103496
Nah, the only exception is the Shimano 11 speed 11-42 MTB cassette which designed to fit on 10 speed hubs (and 11 speed too with spacer).

Hi Everyone,
Got this single speed project on the go and having trouble with the front brake. I have a 6-spoke magnesium alloy wheel with no aluminium braking surface for the pads.. therefore the pads squeek when I brake and I imagine this isnt healthy for the rim either.. Anyone recommend any fixes for this?
Cheers,

Anyone recommend any fixes for this?
Either buy a proper front wheel or wait for the problem to fix itself by wearing the paint off the rim.
What a beauty!
So, do you find the geo just like your road bike then?
