I see - thanks for the edumacation... LOOK is always a good example to follow :) Unfortunately, I don't think the whole integrated headset/headtube thing is within reach, but I do have an exciting forks upgrade potentially coming!

I can't help but feel you had a potential tarck starrĀ® on your hands but the modifications are giving ever diminishing returns and reducing your options. But it ain't 2006 in here so pls don't feel like I'm doggin* on your thread.

Why the quadruple 'look'. Other than that I can see the hash tag really catching on.

I can now confirm thanks to the resourcefulness and generosity of @conquistador, that the above fork has been paid for and will be on its way to join this monstrosity :)

The frame is plenty aero enough, why not spend the money on a (better) metal worker cutting out and tig'in in some sheet alu dropouts?
-
• #288
any welds now will worsen the rear, frame has been drilled already, there is no going back, all hands on deck

Thanks @Francium87 - if only I could aspire to the beauty of your Preuss - now that is a masterpiece!
as for #teamweld or #weldaweld or w- I am sure once I have recovered from this project, I will probably have the idiocy/audacity (funny how similar those two words sound) to try to braze/weld together my own frame like a big boy, but that deserves a separate project... for now:
(Baby steps ;)

No, running it too close negates the aero benefits.
