That 2011/12 line of MMs was super cheap, I got the white LP (that Joe stole away to Australia) from Thomman for not much more than he paid for it but less than they seem to go for on eBay when they ocasionally come up.
Would have kept it but everything had to go for the big move to the little flat.
Never understood why so many people use and recommend elixir acoustic strings. The coating comes off in minutes with my hard old fingers. I thought it must be some kind of in-joke.
Al, try the Spectrums. They start off sounding like worn in 'normal' strings but stay like it for ages. Expensive but worth it in my view. They're really not just another bronze wound string. I'd be surprised if you didn't like them, very surprised.
