I'm going to go into the Covent Garden store and chat to them about it today - I'm not even sure you can change the lenses as they're full frame glasses. so old I've forgotten the name of the style, but they were about £120.
I'm happy to pay for them if they solve that light to shade transition issue, scares the balls off me. But saving money is always good! So how quickly do those Uvex ones transition then? If I'm going from a sunny col to a tunnel, will I be instantly blinded?

Tried the Prizm lenses, they're nice but pricey. Although I did find them on sale here:
Has anyone tried Rudy Project glasses? My LBS stocks them. As good as Oakley?

I have used the Oakley polarised lens for a while now, mainly for the odd times when the sun shines on wet roads. Then they cut out loads of glare, which is otherwise impossible to see through. They also have a good depth of field enhancement on brightish overcast days, which I hadn't expected but yep, LCD screens are incompatible.

Unless you rotate them through 90 degrees...

My photochromics are Rudy project. I really like them. Super lightwieight and comfortable. They are quite small sk won't give you the "full face visor" effect of a pair of Oakley radar paths.
They are very sporty. I wouldn't dream of wearing them off the bike.

I'm getting to the point where I may consider having sunglasses with prescription lenses.
Yes no who where? -

Pricey!
If I had any kind of eyesight issues my obsession with sunnies would be severely curtailed methinks.
Why not just wear them over contacts?

They transition pretty quickly.
Obviously going from the sun into a tunnel you have the opposite problem, it's too dark. In Spain I found most of the tunnels I went through were fairly short, so to start it was darker than I'd have liked, but as they have lights it was OK. Out the other side I didn't really find any problems as you start to hit the light before the exit.
My only one criticism of them is that they have some sort of coating on the back of the lense (anti-fog I guess?). It's a bit grippy so I worry when I have to clean the

A strong look, if you can pull it off.

If its just extra magnification you need, as with reading glasses, a couple of companies do riding sunglasses with a maginfied lower lens (Is that bifocal?). Tifosi and Dual Eyewear.

I just got some Oakley Radars.
Where in London should I go to get prescription inserts made?

Bit of a dredge. But as I'm selling my helmet With visor. I want some Nice sunnies.
- I'd like photochromic. But am also considering multi lens sunnies too.
- I'd like a massive frameless lens, or something that feels that way when wearing them.
- I look a twat by default, so dont mind OTT designs.
Any recommendations?
About to pull the trigger on some Ekoi AK from sportspursuit. Any reason not too? They are pretty barginous.

I have been waiting for photochromic replacement lenses for my jawbreaker for fucking ages.
Should have just bought the photochromic version and a prizm road lens to swap. -

Anyone With any experiance of the POC do blade?
Kinda tempted to buy a EBAY fake and swap in a genuine lens. So as to avoid eye aids.
Also. While on the subject of silly looking shades. Anyone interested in a pair of very lightly used Oakley Eyeshades. Complete With Box, bag, and all the bits (extra arms). Before I eBay them. £50 posted I Guess. I wont hold my breath. Theyre a bit 'special'.

I really like my Salice 006 photochromic. Frame is nice and high so doesn't interfere with vision when riding in mad aero position.

And I'm out.
And stay away from polarised if you can. In my view they are a total scam. Useful if you are a fisherman and want to be able to see things under water from the bankside. Otherwise they are useless, more expensive and can prevent you from seeing some types of LCD screens.
For changing lght conditions, photo chronic lenses are great. I love them for summer evening rides, our in the sunshine home in the dark, without ever changing glasses.
