Ok apologies in advance for a picture-heavy post, but here are the three options I am thinking of for the gussets. First, methodology - using the usual #teamjdmitch approach of overengineering I:
Put the bike down on a flip chart to trace the frame where the gussets will go:
Cut out the gussets between the seat tube and the seat stays
Drew up 3 options for the gussets in the central area (A,B and C)
Cut out the paper gusset options and taped them to the frame in the three variants
A slightly "minimalist" gussets, basically just rounding out the inner edges:
-B heavier webbing, on the top and seat tube in particular, because they are thinner than the down tube, with the idea being that the overall look will be more balanced from the profile:
-C slightly lighter webbing on the top and seat tubes, but more dramatic curves, possibly more "streamlined" looking:
If I have missed out on any possibilities, or any other options I should take into account let me know (preferably illustrated with a shitty MS-Paint drawing of what you are describing, though a picture of a real bike will do).
Once all of the possibilities have been submitted, I might do a little poll or something to see what the people want. Thanks!
