I'm trying to work out a way to attach a front light on my better half's bike.
There is a basket which means the handle bars are out of action, but it has a touring fork with a spare set of rack mounts at the bottom and an in-use set near the top of the fork which have a thin (c.5mm) steel strut coming off to support the front of the basket.
I have a pair of these (which are great btw):
So my options seem to be;
1) pop it on the end of the front QR - which I don't like as the light will be for being seen rather than seeing and I think it's better to have it higher.
2) get a longer bolt for the upper mount, turn it the other way around and try and thread the bottle on to it.
Does anyone know what the threading is for QR skewers? Or does anyone have a better (not too pricey) idea?
