I was thinking of a TSB more like +50, will 20ish be enough? I reckon each day will be a TSS of around 400.
I was gonna start to taper 7 - 8 days before, with a couple (or maybe even just one) short sharp turbo sessions over 3 or 4 days then around 3 days off the bike in total right beforehand. Last longer ride would be about 8 days out from the start.... sound about right?
If I do as Skinny suggests I find my legs are reasonably rested but scratch the surface and I'm not fully fresh. I'd rather train really hard up to 2 weeks before then do a 2 week taper. I end up slightly detrained but fresher which is OK if it's an important event.
