Dunno... There's always a way. I just took a punt and tried that method and was surprised it worked at all. Quite liking it - it boots much faster, uses less space (which is big when you only use a 60GB partition) and the fans run less when playing games, probably due to direct X11 working better or something. Fuck knows.
Anyway... Its worth it - and that's coming from an OS X fanboi.
