  • That look very hasty painted, bit odd even for a Nagasawa.

  • what do you mean by "even for a Nagasawa"?

  • Chance it might be one of the Korean frames built with Nagasawa lugs? is it stamped?

  • what do you mean by "even for a Nagasawa"?

Realised that the pink BB wasn't his, but it look rather messy compared to the other NJS keirin frames.

  • I guess it could be a Korean copy, mine is stamped though do maybe not. My understanding is that not all the Nagasawa have such ornate details. The ones made for local racers were far less decorated and more functional.

    Who knows?

  • Probably proper Japanese if it has njs stamped on.

Dunno, but my kalavinka made for a Japanese keirin racer, Kenji Suzuki, has the embellishment, though not very well painted. Almost can't see the njs stamp.

  • I don't know about Nagasawa frames, but the track ends on your frame look like Suntour ones, which means it could be from the 80's, and might explain why it is not as ornate as current ones.

  • They are indeed Suntour track ends.

  • anybody know how high Georama are on the NJS pecking order? any owners?

given the fact most njs frames are quite similar performance wise

  • That is quite a nice idea of them, especially as most people won't be able to order a custom frame from Panasonic's own website.

One of my friends ordered one direct from Panasonic and it is a very nice frame indeed.

Any bike that have been stamped with the NJS and approved for race are all equally good, so the cheapest NJS frame you find will be just as good as the most expensive NJS frame (providing both don't have scratched, dent etc.).

  • The builder is certified to produce frames with an NJS stamp. They can use different tubing and build different forks. Yes they are all good but the cheapest will not be just as good as the most expensive. They are different.

  • Yes they are all good but the cheapest will not be just as good as the most expensive.

Perhaps it just the branding, the frame I got (Presto) have awesome paintjob, and it was pretty cheap compare to the popular brand.

  • The NJS ones might even be worse. They were often built with heavy-guage Tange tubing.

There are many better tube sets in the world these days.

  • Yeah, that custom Panasonic above is just basic CroMo tubing.

  • My Samson has Reynolds 853 main triangle.
    Not all are same.

  • 853 main triangle, gas pipe rear triangle

  • Good enough for posing^

  • Lets throw this in here as well since I'm pretty much done

  • If you go the full frame custom order route with panasonic you have your choice of tubing (tange, kaisei 019/019E/4130R/8630R), tube diameters and thicknesses.

  • New stem day Nitto Pearl 9 >>> Cinelli 1a 110

  • That seat tube, must be pushing 77 degrees!

  • Good enough for 'Slaining...

  • ^^those wheels are epic bad.

  • Nah, I'm not even going to bother walking with it.
