  • I'm going to go into the Covent Garden store and chat to them about it today - I'm not even sure you can change the lenses as they're full frame glasses. so old I've forgotten the name of the style, but they were about £120.

    I'm happy to pay for them if they solve that light to shade transition issue, scares the balls off me. But saving money is always good! So how quickly do those Uvex ones transition then? If I'm going from a sunny col to a tunnel, will I be instantly blinded?

    They transition pretty quickly.

    Obviously going from the sun into a tunnel you have the opposite problem, it's too dark. In Spain I found most of the tunnels I went through were fairly short, so to start it was darker than I'd have liked, but as they have lights it was OK. Out the other side I didn't really find any problems as you start to hit the light before the exit.

    My only one criticism of them is that they have some sort of coating on the back of the lense (anti-fog I guess?). It's a bit grippy so I worry when I have to clean the
