Also had a brief chat with a tall chap on what looked like a custom build Roberts.
He had a distinct whiff of "on here" about him.

I was out on a pink Roberts, spoke to another guy on a lovely dark blue fillet-brazed one. Dunno if I give out vibes of on here though ... Not many skinny steel frames out among all the fat-tube bling.

Lots of debris: I was an earlyish start and could have picked up three or four pumps, half a dozen inner tubes, a dozen or more bidons, and umpteen thousand gel wrappers.

Lots of bellends too: just because you're in a club and on a mission doesn't make it OK to force your way through a gap that ain't there, even if you have called out "right" to people who don't know what you mean.
