Anyone got any experience with kg56 frames?
One has popped up in my size at a good price locally and am thinking of picking it up to replace my fairly tired, fairly boring trek madone 2.1 frame

Paint is pretty good, but not immaculate, minor stuff, apart from some bodge around the seat post lug, which I may get looked at, but not fussed for now. Overall fairly pleased with it, following a quick scrub up.
It's got the expanding wedge for the seatpost, but with some Phillips head bolt, but these are just standard M5 things, a bottle cage bolt is right pitch, maybe not long enough, need to wait until a seatpost turns up to make sure.
As for build plans, well, I'm going to copy @roboto bolt for bolt ;)
Not really, but that would certainly be no bad thing, although I'm starting with Veloce black groupset since my other bike is Campag 10spd, so I can swap wheels around. Bit of Thomson (still ok here in Derby), bit of Zipp blast black. Wheels..I definitely can't afford DEEP CRABONZ....

Whereabouts in Derby are you? That's my home town!
Here's some inspiration from today ;)

Goddamnit, much to my surprise, seat tube is far too slack for me!
72.5 is useful as it fit quite a lots of people, and would need inline, (57 feel like 56).

That's just perfect! Those crabonz are so good. I'd reckon you must be pretty happy with it.

So good! Won't achieve stem slam though, dicky back and all that.
I'm hailing out of Allestree since children arrived, nice and peaceful! Good access for Peaks.

Thanks. The crabonz were the final piece of the jigsaw in its current form.
I haven't ridden it too much since I rode around Japan on it though, which is a shame, but it's nice to know when I get some free time to ride and the sun is shining I can just get on this and smile the whole ride.

A little bit of stretching will achieve stem slammage godliness.
Allestree is nice, I grew up around Chester Green, but all my family have moved out of Derby now so I rarely go back. I do want to ride the new velodrome though.

I used to elegantly boss right midfield on the pitches of Chester Green and now I cycle through with my lad on the way to town.
Did the velodrome for first time a few weeks back, great venue, I just hope Derby can sustain it and utilise it properly.

Shame. There's more on there. I can't believe a store still has this NOS for £700 including delivery to the UK (Size L).

That's a current model (AC364P), Bike24 has them for €750

Ah, yup, I wasn't looking at the years. Still, there's others from 2006, 2007 and 2009 in various sizes.

Looks more like a cheap Chinese hylix tri spoke:

Check the moulding around the valve stem and see if you still think that.

...cheap Chinese...
In the circumstances, it doesn't seem very likely does it?

This KG231 has dropped like a stone from its over enthusiastic original price. A decent offer may be well received?
-

good point, however the bend in the "spokes" on that AC wheel doesn't look like HED or FFWD either..

Look is releasing a new carbon track frame for 2016 season, less integrated parts, less pricy (sorry for the crap picture but their photoshop mock up is not much better):

Oh my!

Finally get to join this thread of fine looking Looks.

Very good. Is that a Flite saddle? Think I would like something similar for mine.

Yep it's a Flite transalp.
Damn! That paint looks immaculate too; looks in perfect shape. What are the plans?
