same old questions. Merge pls.
Rapha and Assos are comparable, but Shutt is sub Sportful in terms of quality. Make a choice between Rapha and Assos based on which you like/fits best.

Hi all,
Does anyone know the difference between the Assos Fi MIlle S5 shorts and the Uno S5 shorts?
The latter are a lot cheaper and more widely available, but the former seem to be THE shorts for comfort etc....

Y U no .DE?
Everything I've had from Germany, including Bike-Discount, arrived at least as quick as UK orders (sent via "standard" post).

It's more a case of not spreading my card details far and wide and sticking to local options is good for the country and a small attempt at reducing international freight.

I have a very messed up set of environmental and ethical 'rules' that I struggle daily to ignore/maintain as I see fit. :)

The Sigma review seems to indicate those Assos arm coolers are a bit shit so I might skip them. Thanks for the help though fellas.

Anyone know if Assos have changed/redesigned their pad in the last... hmm, three years or so? I vaguely recall reading they had somewhere (and I didn't really get on with the the 2012 versions)...*
*it's absolutely not safe to browse their website at work!

Yup, I looked too.
And what are Assos doing? I only buy their stuff every few years but it seems they have revamped the range.
I go to their site to figure out their range and get pages like this: https://www.assos.com/en_m/assos-road-cycling-collection/shorts/t-campionissimo-s7
Ridiculous description, and doesn't tell me anything about it, and insane price.
Happy to spend big monies on decent shorts or bibs, and need them too... but sheesh, so little info on what makes these better than the cheaper ones or anything.

Ah, they've ended the Mille shorts, and now have the Cento: https://www.assos.com/en_m/assos-road-cycling-collection/shorts/t-cento
The problem with screwing around with products as good as their older range, is I have no way of knowing whether these new ones are better than the ever-improving Rapha bibs.
Now I have a choice dilemma, whereas I would've just bought another pair of Assos Mille bibs and another pair of their shorts.

Easier toilet breaks in shorts, especially if you've got multiple lightweight layers on top (and don't need to shed any for a toilet stop).

I've always preferred shorts - they're cheaper, quicker to get on, easier to piss from.
Plus, wearing them 24hr/day for 2 weeks = lots of poo stops I'd need to get naked for.
Howdy,
I'm on the hunt for some new shorts and tights. Just trying to weigh up who makes the most comfy shorts (I know this is mostly a personal thing), but I wanted to gauge opinion.
Went for some Vermac stuff last year and it wasn't great. Also, have tried Castelli and Sportful. All kind of mediocre IMO.
