It currently has an 8 speed hyper glide cassette, from what I have just read it can only take 8 of the cogs from a 9 speed cassette. But you would be able to get it as 9 speed using using a 10/11 speed cassette with spacers? I think this is right but I'm not 100% sure, this is all that I'd read online.
