If I would do it again probably got 60mm deep carbon instead of the 50mm for more HHSB points =p

Took it to cadence to weigh and it's was a disappointing 6.85kg
-
• #206
Amen.

• #207
Canyon Aeroad in our workshop was 6.5kg with Ultegra component, and Zipp 202 tubular.

Oh no! I guess you have to sell it.

Don't tempt me woman!
Thinking to wait crackyon build a aeroad or ultimate disc brake for the next upgrade.

Build climbing wheels, sub 1kg.
-
• #211
just a pity it is a bike I will only use in dry and special occasion.
surely just ride it all the time?

surely just ride it all the time?
Cheap Superstar wheels, job done.
-
• #213
What's wrong with the current wheels?
-
• #214
Braking not breaking, or was it the other way round?
-
• #215
Full carbon? Rainy days? Chris King hubs?
-
• #216
Unless you mean all the time at this current weather.
-
• #217
Braking on carbon is fine.
Chris King hubs are absolutely bombproof, getting them wet is going to make fuck all difference. I'd pick CK hubs for a winter wheelset over a summer build.

Probably will get a shallower wheelset for purely climbing (maybe the enve 2:2), but in term of riding in the wet, I rather keep this bike in the dry for the sake of keeping it brand new-like and maintenance to a minimum (unlike my previous crackyon bike where I practically used it as my everyday bike and ruined every components on a daily bases).

Will get these if I every race again...

Anyways, I thought I got a crap shot of the bike but actually turned out to be alright:

So what exactly is it for? If you're not riding it in the wet, not racing it, and keeping it for sunday best, that's a lot of bike for about 10 weekends a year...

I know, stupid isn't it? I started this thread to build a bike I actually like riding with (which I have achieved) but I guess the worrying factor is riding and either crashing and replacing the parts all over again (which I don't think I would bother again tbh)
I think because it is brand new, I want to keep it in that state, (threating more like a priceless jewellery than a bike atm) but I am slowly using it a lot more as you stated: 'what's the point of building a lovely bike and only using it a handful of time of the year?'
And knowing me, once I get caught in a rain storm I will use it a lot more on the weekend and maybe weekdays (HOP) because I will start using it like proper bike.

For photos obvs...

When I see this bike I will scratch the fuck out of it so you can ride it properly.
