He's on the move again. Seems to be third on the road and less than 40km behind second if I'm reading the tracker correctly?

The neck strapping didn't help. Shame I couldn't find anywhere to by a neck brace. Hotel once again. I'm fighting a battle that's over.

Skinny came through checkpoint 4 earlierand we taped his head yo his back
He even did a little skid arriving at the control

I've just managed to read back and seen his tweets (v poor internet connection). Such a shame, he gave it absolutely everything.

It was very much a make-it-up-as-uou-go-along job. Skinny bought the tape in kotor and thought about how to attach it best during the climb up to lovcen.
Kate @fluff was on tape duty and there's a fab time elapse of the tape going on

Also, ultan came through about 4 hours ago, looking good, and we've had 10 riders in total, 4 of whom are en route to vucovar (control 3. They took the ferry)

incredible effort from skinny, and all involved.

A brave decision @skinny but in the long term it's almost certainly the right one. Your ride to get this far was astounding and inspiring. The fact that you were still running third on the road after the trials and tribulations of the last few days is testimony to that.

Get some rest, recover and I've no doubt you'll be back, stronger and wiser and ready to win ultra races in the future.
