Thanks.......the paint scheme is based on garrett chow's work on a specialized crux

Have just acquired this
I hope that it will eventually make a worthy contribution to this thread

I'd say you're off to a very good start :-)

Is there a pivot around the BB for the rear triangle?
-
• #731
Just flex in the chainstay
-
• #732
That's a lot of flex.

• #733
Pretty much how softails have always been built

that siren has got it right
nice easy replaceable rear triangle, just in case -
• #736
Looking into Softails reminded me of this, Aaron Chase's slopestyle HT. Cannondale Lefty instead of a top tube with BB pivot.

Seems like a terrible idea, effectively creating a unified rear triangle. I'd like @mdcc_tester to confirm, does he get a notification when I tag him like this?

URTs are shit, but it's a bike for doing tricks on, rear suspension performance doesn't matter. It's just for soaking up the big hits.

Always my favourite:

It's not ideal - you'd probably never design in a pivot half way down your chainstays.
I don't think it's really like a URT tho - it still works if you stand on the pedals?
-
• #741
Trying to figure out if not having a pivot would make the frame much more likely the failure on not really.
-
• #742
Depends on the material
-
• #743
car/truck suspension has relied on steel flexing for a good few years so far.
-
• #744
But in the form of leaf springs right? The chainstays would still be tubes I'm guessing.

Is that an activator?
The were proper shit
-
• #748
I would love seeing this built up...
Edit: just googled it... It is alright.

• #749
Yeah Activator II. They are the shit.
LOLing at the asking price for the Girvin forks btw. That shit cray.

The SIDney forks on the Ritchey, was that the Austrailian Olympics or a big world champs race.
XC mountain biking has been an olympic event for some time.I can remember the forks being marketed as a limited edition for an event.
It's a rad bike @Pzychlezby :-)
Cannondale should take note of the paint scheme.....
