Browsing through SJS, some of Surly's forks have 300mm steerers but it's not listed on every fork:

http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/surly-long-haul-trucker-fork-1-1-8-inch-steerer-black-prod18316/They also have an unpainted 700c fork with a long steerer for £10, might be worth getting some bosses welded onto that, if the legs are far enough apart for your chosen tyre.

Aha thanks, the long haul trucker forks are a possibility, I'd looked at some other Surly forks but the steerers were too short so I assumed they'd all be the same.
Hello
I'm putting together a nice new sit-up-straight, dutch style bike for my girlfriend and need a few bits. It's an old Blackpool hire scheme frame, pic attached if interested.
1st: A Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub with coaster brake + shifter etc if you have it but not essential. 32h or 36h preferably.
2nd: I think the frame builder got confused and used a top tube as the head tube BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING MASSIVE. I've found 3 OTP forks that come with a steerer tube of +28cm (Kinesis XLT, Gusset Jury, Identiti Tuning fork) but if you know of, or better have some threadless 26" forks with a huge 1" 1/8 steerer and V brake bosses let me know.
Cheers!
