Seems that Hydraulic disc fluid may vaporise if heated enough on long descents.

Is this the same for mineral oil and dot oil?

At different temperatures, but essentially yes. @skinny managed to boil his brakes coming down a mountain in the TCR.

He didn't, he overheat his pads that it lost power.
