    Many have tried (Bimota, Hossack, BMW, Elf and doubtless dozens who didn't even get that far) to solve the "problem" of telescopic forks, which is that braking compresses the suspension and changes the steering geometry. What pretty much everybody has eventually discovered is that the cure is worse than the disease, mostly because the disease turns out to be a feature, not a bug; a bit of brake dive which stiffens up the front suspension and quickens the steering is almost exactly what you want given that the front tyre is loaded up.
