  • They look like a versatile wheel, if nothing else.

I got my tubeless wheels from that fella and they've been trouble free for a year now. Would definitely use him again.

  • I have some money pushed to one side, I got fraudulent activity on my card ("A trip to Barbados" it says on my statement...). I've had that money back.
However, it's also our anniversary at the end of September....

  • Does anyone want my Hope V-Twin? £125ish with some alligator I-Links compressionless cables to improve the run from the levers.

  • Possibly - what's included?

  • Evey thing you need.

    • Junction box with mount
    • Calipers
    • Hoses (Setup for a 60cm Coix De Fer)
    • No rotors, but im sure i can find some if you're desperate.

plus a set of these in silver:

Was using it up till recently, zero problems but it would probably benefit from some new pads.

  • What's the Addington course like say compared to Bethlam last week? Likely to be muddy? A lot hillier?

    Thanks.

  • It's in a park, so no mud, lots of grass. The bit they use is on a slope so it can be a hard slog up the hill at times, depending on how the course is laid out.

I didn't ride the summer series round there last summer, but did the London League round. It was wet then, so much more challenging.

  • Thanks Andy. A good day for the lighter riders then i.e. not me ;0)

  • That's what I think when I see you. MASSIVE FATTY.

  • Haha. It's all relative. I'm about 2/3rds of a stone over my usual racing weight and I can really notice it. See you tonight?

  • I'll be there.
    Reach out for me....

  • LAST CALL
Does anyone want a lift to Addington Park and back tonight- I have 6 seats available and plenty of space for bikes- leaving Look Mum No Hands on Mare Street at 5pm.

  • Are you one of the Four Tops?

  • I'm auditioning.

  • Anyone know if the girl who came off by the trees is OK?

  • I was going to ask the same thing... I hope she makes a swift recovery and can only assume that if it was really serious the race would have been stopped/abandoned

  • My mate works for St John's Ambulance and he abandoned his race to help her #selfless

She knocked herself clean out and had no idea where she was or why she was there, which obviously isn't a great sign. She was very confused and a bit delirious. The ambulance took her to a local hospital for checks and so on, but I think they expect she'll be ok. She may have broken ribs too. So not great, but not life threatening either.

I guess that's why it was shortened to 45 mins?

  • Phew. Heal up fast rider.

Heard there was a bit of an issue with availability of first aiders. Would have thought the coms were trained?

  • Hope she's alright. I heard a massive bang.

    45 minutes?
    They were lonnnnng minutes....

  • youch. Speedy recovery to the injured rider.

I managed to burp a tubeless tyre, despite 35 psi in it, after landing sideways on it on lap 3. From then on I was cornering very gingerly and then attacking on the straight gradients. I then got caught behind a crash at the barriers and got seperated from the front 3. The lead group must have sat up somewhat and I caught them with 2 laps to go and nicked a 2nd place.

Anyone have any experience with those cheap Merlin Carbotech K22 tubular wheels? Spoke count is a bit low at 24/28 but I figure I'll stick intermediates on them and only use them for a few races at the beginning of the season and as backups, so hopefully they'll last.

  • Apparently she's ok.
She crashed right behind me, we somehow went out of the course by following this other guy.
Stopped to try and help as well as this BCC lady who also got out of the course.
But we were completely useless after running to warn the guys at the finish line.
When it was clear that all was under some control and we couldn't help anymore, we got back on the course. Missed probably 2-3 laps and didn't feel very attacking at that point.

@LesFillesRT: @Ecunard She's ok thanks. Lots of bruising and will be sore for a while but nothing broken or damaged!

  • Good news. Thanks for the update.

  • Nice one. You're on the red Ritchey right? I'm on the ss green tricross.
Nice to meet you Ecunard, good to hear that girl's ok.
Who is the bearded dude on the enigma?
Too few people playing the sscx game yet many people competing from this forum, what's with that huh?
Last night was really fun, I liked the twisty shorter course, much more social and tactical.

  • Good to hear.

  • Too few people playing the sscx game yet many people competing from this forum, what's with that huh?

Probably because last night was not really suited to racing on SS.

I'd like to apologise to everyone who got stuck behind me in any of the corners towards the end. I was fucking knackered and unsure of what constituted a decent line/staying out of the way of those moving through/who was lapping/who was catching me up on the same lap.
