• Not strictly power, but how do you go about setting heart rate zones?

    I've got a reasonably accurate FTHR and Max Heart Rate. Initially I've been using Joe Friel's zones, but Zone 1 felt too wide (up to 81% of FTHR), and everything else squashed in, so I've gone back to what Strava was setting based on a max heart rate.

    Any recommendations on numbers? or is it best to adjust figures as fitness changes based on perceived exertion?
