Or you can use Garmin connect, but I don't think the app lets you plan routes so might have to also use the web version, again not ideal... (can anyone confirm?)
Or you can use http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/gmaptogpx/ to convert a google map data to GPX.
To be honest, seems like the cheapest/hassle free way is to use your phone for navigation with a hub dynamo charger to keep it going
