I hate those bent posts with a passion! Paint Job is lovely, really over stated, like 80's hair metal perms! I'd totally swap my Bolt for a pink one.

Why you'd sticker/paint such rad paint is beyond me.

The original paint was fantastic. Hence my comment why I don't understand the previous owner painted over it.

Frame is not as great as you think, read the rat bike thread, there were hidden repair spots underneath this shitty green paint.

Apologies if repost but I'm really feeling this build. I would slam dat stem and loose the rack because I'm not about #racklyf but it's definitely the nicest b/y vig I've seen.

He's kind of right, I've got them on the Duratec :/ They were never designed in mind for skidding around town. The og Ellipses have a gap between the cog and lock ring thread, because they don't come into direct contact with each other there is a possibility of threading the cog when skidding.

Saying that, I've got a surly cog/lockring combo and they are so blench that they actually do make contact, but that's not the case for all cogs/rings. If in doubt use a shim.

the OG ones are french threaded iirc. so putting a standard lockring will create a gap yeah.

Ah yeah that makes more sense.

Current ones are also French threaded. Mine has been fine for 3 years, think issues only come from people using the wrong lockring.
