I had one of my Rikens die recently on the Dragon Ride. Internal short meant it was chewing through a new battery in 10 minutes, so even faster than my Stages.
It was less than 2 years old, so Quarq have fitted a new spider, and all seems well - haven't actually used it yet as I fitted another Riken - but all the P2Ms are still working...

Don't... I wish I had.
Was a bit reluctant to fork out before taking 3 weeks of holiday though. Turns out I can totally afford it, and I start a new job in august too.. Doh.
Re:tool - not sure, haven't actually placed my order yet. There are some good deals on quarq rikens kicking about I may also investigate.
