Def try drops, found them very comfy and great for long rides. I switch between drops and risers depending.

-

@tomsvoboda yeah ive got some compacts kicking around to try, ive swapped the stem also from 70mm 10 degree inverted to 7 degree 90mm so bit more stretched out for the bar setups. still need to fit my atacs and then decide on tyres. dom was running 35c ribmos i think im gonna go down to 32c's see how it handles

On an early v1 with external headset they'd be dope.

It was a Protype 68 x 109mm ISO that I bought from Ben's cycles as an experiment:
https://www.benscycle.com/p-164-protype-68-x-109mm-iso-taper-bottom-bracket-sugino-75.aspxIt's basically designed to be disposable like the Shimano cartridge BB's, although it seems they don't have the durability of the Shimano versions. I only charged you £15 for it though so I don't feel too bad :)

doesn't look like it has a brake bridge? reverting back to v1 spec
-
• #3091
If BMW is building it from their workshop, I don't think they want to add a brake bridge.
This is Austin we're talking about after all.
-
• #3092
yep. but the end of the toptube (where it meets the stays) looks V2. interesting
edit: just spotted the bridge between the chainstays from the bb cluster OOOO

Unless it's better/lighter material than the previous then not sure what's so great or new about them. Will be keeping an eye out for sure though ;)

gonna devalue the V1s in circulation :( was planning to sell mine and retire early
-
• #3095
Why are V1s and launchpads numbered but V2s not?
-
• #3096
My v2 was numbered
-
• #3097
My V2's numbered, not entirely sure what number it is though.
