I agree entirely, but everyone said before hand that the first week had plenty of pitfalls and whilst no-one was going to win the race there, they might lose it.

• #3078
Yup first week killed it for the not so sharp favs. Some grew stronger over the weeks but time gap was already too large to fight back

• #3079
Poor Quintana
-
• #3080
True. It's been a pretty good edition in my opinion. Probably the best since 2011.

• #3081
Pinot really needs to work in his descending. I've beaten him down the tourmalet!
-
• #3082
With all the shit he took, all the attacks, covered in piss, spat at and constantly booed Froomey is one resilient fella.
-
• #3083
Well I had before this years tour not sure now.
-
• #3084
^Kept his head down one might say

God, what a boring race. After Sky's dominance killed it off on the first climb and with Froome's out-of-this-world climbing, we didn't get anything like the tense, nail-biting head-to-head race up the big mountains we were all hoping for before it started :(
-
• #3086
You really found that boring?
-
• #3087
Ah well, amazing stage but just a cup of earl grey it is then
Gutsy, nail biting rides from Hesjedal and Quintana but happy for Pinot and Froome
-
• #3088
Is this sarcasm?
Quintana was faster in the mountains than Froome on aggregate, so in what sense was Froome's climbing out of this world?
-
• #3089
in the french newspaper sense perhaps?
-
• #3090
Christ, Froome looks utterly fucked on the podium there.
-
• #3091
tense nail-biting head-to-head race up the big mountains
Yeah super boring
-
• #3092
jeez, some people..
Or, "the state of this thread :(" as I put it earlier
-
• #3093
Any news on Cav?
-
• #3094
I don't know what's going on. Are you joking or do you think every GT ends is a head to head up a world famous climb?
-
• #3095
great lead-out tune from itv4

• #3096
I'm not sure what race/tour you were watching. It's been one of the most fun and interesting tours I've watched in a long time. There was proper racing from almost the first stage with many of the favourites gaining or losing time early on. Quintana bided his time and gave it everything to try and win today and fell short . If you can't admire that or see how much racing there was in this tour then I suggest you go back to watching over paid prima donnas kick a round ball around a field.
