Easier to focus on developing power at low rpm? Maybe. Gives you time to focus on getting the muscle chains firing correctly.
As much as the idea of high power at high cadence sounds great, from my own perspective its mostly one or the other at the moment. (although for me low cadence is ~80rpm)
I did 2 x 25 minute low cadence (am trying to replicate long climbs) intervals on my turbo before breakfast this morning rather than risking wetness.
