Before cuddling tabby off, I think Patch need some TLC... think she is feeling a bit poorly, maybe a cold or sth... :-(

The other week I spent an awake night with a friends cat I was cat sitting as it decided that it was off its food and this cat loves its food.

Definitely wanting some me time...

I have taken on a foster cat, and its well over weight ! i have been given the task to slim her down, now i know exercise is a key factor but cats are the kings of lounging anyone had any experience in cat slimming & plans of action

Best thing to do if you haven't done it yet is to get recommendations from the vet on how much food to give her, and take her back in regularly so the vet can keep an eye on her progress. Just like with people, losing weight is about 80% diet. The vet's recommendations will be much more sensible than internet recommendations.

have been given the hills diet plan as direction from the foster place, but hey said a more meat based wet food rather than dry as dry holds a lot of calories so have good direction, need to get small scales so i can regulate food rather than just by eye.

My cat now weighs more than my bike, vet suggested cutting food down, surprisingly they aren't crying for more food like I thought they would.

We had cats for years as a kid and we were always told unlike dogs cats only eat what they need but a dog will eat anything. That's not true as i've discovered with mine. He eats his, the dogs and anything else slower than him. He got a bit podgy so I started letting him out when I go to work hoping he'd exercise. Its sort of working, hes exercising and losing weight. Theres a lot less birds about too. In all honesty im worried for the cows at the farm up the road and fully expect to find on the doorstep like some bizarre mutilation with the steely eyed killer stood over it.

I wouldn't know, my cat is very skilled at removing his collar so we gave up putting one on him.

really not bothering with that. Hes a cat, designed by nature to bring a damp squeaking end to anything small and furry or feathered. As long as the local farmer doesn't pitch up looking for his cows killer I don't really care. The cat doesn't bring his kills home after I took a bird off him last time. He has learnt that if he wants to keep it i'd better not find it in my shoes.

the stray cat that murdered all of the pigeons outside of my work lives here now I think.

He's been here every day since. People have started leaving food out for him.
