What? Fuglsang is a fault because a motorcycle, coming from behind, hit his handlebars? The same motorcycle that a few seconds before almost hit Ryder Hesjedal and now has been kicked out of the Tour and admitted to being at fault...

You know those terribly dubbed Alpecin ads that don't make any sense? Well Laura (who is on here somewhere) made this:

Nice to see Valverde getting dropped, more please ! So how far IS Geraint behind him ? About 30secs?
I must admit, I really wasn't bothered about the tour in the first few days, but have got more interested as it's gone on. Nothing to do with Froome though. Thomas seems far more likeable to me. Maybe as he gives it the beans in the Classics, too. Proper hard, regardless of what shades he's wearing! LolB.T.

Hopefully Quintana will attack tomorrow rather than leave it till till Alpe D'Huez. Thomas has two and a half minutes to make up on Valverde and Contador's only a few seconds behind Thomas. I predict a Quintana win tomorrow and a Froome win on Saturday. Or possibly Froome on both days. Or neither.
-
• #2614
Realistically then, it's about Thomas holing off Contador. Can't see VV blowing up that badly. Sadly!
-
• #2615
I think Quintana has accepted 2nd, the respectful handshake kinda said it all I think.
Probably reading too much into though, but I think froome can pretty much match him.
Pretty stoked for the next 2 days though.

Amazing last climb. Rode it last year. Stunning.

• #2617
He actually says TOMORROW.
-
• #2618
Gee to go fucking mental on Alpe D'Huez whilst Froome sits on Quintana's wheel
-
• #2619
Fair enough, risky tactics. Maybe he's let froomey tire himself and will pounce....it's a lot of time to make up on an acknowledged equally excellent climber.

Anyone going to Huez? I can lend you a baseball bat. Only for Spanish champion introductions, naturally.

Just read a few statements from the team manager. Seems to indicate that they were expecting some time gaps today and that Alejandro was struggling a times today and Quintana dropped back to help out.
Not good when Quintana is quoted as saying he needs him to set up the climbs.

Sadly it is more like 2:30, but AV has imploded before. There is hope for GT, but AC will be more free to take advantage if AV cracks.

Ride of the Tour by Bardet today.

• #2624
Fair enough, the backward facing footage didn't really show anything conclusive (as I said at the time).
Still, two riders not really looking where they are going and ending up swerving towards a motorbike that was swerving towards them.

The riders are racing, they shouldn't have to be looking out for motorbikes. The motorbike riders have a responsibility to pass through the race safely and keep out of the riders way.
That dude didn't, and, arguably, interfered with the outcome of the stage. That's not on.
Given Thomas' propensity for joking around; what are the odds of him attacking Froome on La Toussiere tomorrow for the lolz?
