Balotelli is more of a blunt instrument than a battering ram.

Big man / small man. Keegan / Dalglaish. Collymore / Fowler. Benteke / Ings. English / Footy. Stick it in the mixer.

I see.
Anyway.
Zlatan or Muller at United? If Zlatan goes to United (which he won't), prepare for the Cantona comparisons. Instant number 7.

Surely the big burly striker transfer gossip is all about Jordan Rhodes to 'Boro. Or us taking Darius Henderson back on trial because we can't afford anyone else.

This one is starting to drag.

Can't afford or not allowed to buy? Has your transfer ban ended yet?

Hold on, £9m (£14m with add ons), where the fuck are we getting this money?

Maybe update your routine to:
Read LFGSS football comments
THEN Read Guardian
THEN Post uncommented article to LFGSS football IF LFGSS has not discussed article contentsIt's a simple algorithm. And one that might save you from repeated abuse.

You missed the current Derby player (former Spurs player) who scored the winner to get them to the one game away from silverware...

Dawkins, hasn't scored in this competition. If wiki is to be believed.

Keegan a big man? In what alternative reality? He was 5' 8" I think.
Plus Dalglish was his replacement after he moved to Hamburg.

• #118141
I think he means Keegan/Toshack.
Rush/Dalglish -

My bad. I'd read that he'd "helped" and then didn't bother reading the rest of the article. Too busy etc.

You can't expect me to remember as far back as when Liverpool / Forest were actually good. For a start I wasn't even born.

Our manager is trying to spin it as a positive thing. Apparently we spent too much money on crap players. I think he might have a point.

the pass from Dalglish, the camera being sent tumbling and knee up for the chip over Spink.

A pretty fun game I've been doing the last couple of seasons is this thing called Goalscorer Challenge - goalscorerchallenge.co.uk
Essentially each week you pick a player who you think will score and each time they do you get a point; tricky part comes in that you can only pick that player once all season. Had 1500 odd players last season which is pretty decent considering up until then everything had been done on an excel spreadsheet.
So goalscorerchallenge is a really fun game, so much less effort than a full fantasy football league, but still some interesting tactics to picking players.
It seemed like last year a few people joined the league(s), but in the end I was the only one who saw it through.
I would love to give it another go.
@cmburns set up one LFGSS league - code 5a9edca7- , so let's join that one.
I know @Clever_Pun signed up, a few others did too.
Picking one player a week only takes a few minutes of your time, and it would be good to shit talk with you guys.
Can someone tell me what the fascination with Liverpool and "battering ram strikers" is?
Carroll
Lambert
Balotelli
Benteke
