  • which kind of wizardry is needed to hold the top cap?
Not really necessary as the headset doesn't need pressure from a top cap, but ideal to stop water and dirt from falling in the forks...

I've seen weight weenie caps for people who remove the tensioner after clamping the stem, just a push-in bung like a handlbar end plug.

  • Most likely, in 2011 Camano's 695 you can see that the cap is way smaller than a regular top cap.

I'm puzzled if running a standard stem on the Look slotted steerer might result on uneven pressure that can cause damage to either stem or steerer. But if Endura Racing did years ago, I'm sure it's pretty safe...

  • new entry for me!

Look kg181, full Veloce groupset and Cosmic wheels!

now it just needs a better horizontal stem!

  • good stuff. I want something like this, just struggling to find a frame with 56cm TT. where's everyone getting theirs? ebay cupboard is fairly bare/prices erratic.

  • where's everyone getting theirs? ebay cupboard is fairly bare/prices erratic.

Got both of mine from eBay but you need to purchase in winter when no one wants bikes. Think I paid £110.00 for my AL264 and £200.00 for my KG121 so you don't have to spend lots.

  • I'm thinking of selling my KG231 as it is a little large for me - I think it is 56cm TT

Anyone got a 54cm TT KG anything for sale?

  • I have a 54tt kg231 an its slightly too small.....

  • Interesting... wanna swap?

  • PM me with a few pics/location!

  • oh balls. Anyone else!?

  • Paid £180 or so for my 231 with chorus bottom bracket and carbon look forks and superlight headset. Patience is the key!

  • My kg231 is 58cm c-t-c TT and 58.5 c-t-c ST is that any good to you @epilepticfridgeboy?

  • Thanks for offer, but am looking for that elusive 56cm tt. Already have a 57cm KG221 which is tiny bit too big but kept for short summer rides.

  • Does anyone have a 56cm KG381 Credit Agricole they want to sell me?

  • took a punt on this on the bay which was on a BIN for a tempting price even though i though it'd be a touch too big. pics are flattering it's a bit ratty here and there and a shame that the LH record shifter is just a brake lever (hence 1 x 9) but i got some for cheaps to replace the ergo's and a front mech so should be sorted soon plus got gatorskins going on. big win was the bike coming with two sets of spare wheels in bags that were filthy but are actually in great nick and no rim wear - daytona x ambrosio, veloce x mavic reflex & mavic ksyrium elite woop. just had a ride after swapping in a shorter stem and it's a very smooth ride, my first Look or crabon bike.

  • Swap Open Pave for Gatorskins?

    U mad bro?

  • they are cut up to shreds michelin axial pro winter tyres

  • Ah had my eye on that but the seller didn't get back to me about size and the forks being 1" or 1" 1/8th - DIBS if you decide it's too big (please)!

  • will do, it's a 55cm and 1" forks

  • Ah!

    Coloured tyres >>>>

  • New frame for the GF!

  • It's in...and another!
    #partridge

Another 'bay special, expected a tussle to get it, but no other bids, maybe had their moment..!
