It is not. It is Spirit/Max.

Max? But you don't weigh anything.

Spirit main tubes. Max forks/stays. I weigh 80 kilograms.

Those forks staying with it? It looks decent, who built it?
-
• #103160
Yep. May potentially get carbon forks if someone releases a pair of straight blade carbon forks that are 1 1/8th that take guards + 28c. Unlikely though. Unless I'm missing already existing forks. Kuba of Rychtarski.

And here's the latest version of my commuter:
Had to replace headset and levers as they were o/s. And changed the wheelset too a couple of months back.

Will be my only road bike innit^^ so will use it for everything, but will probably get a second set of wheels with more spokes if I'm going on a 300+ ride.
^cause he wouldn't split it and I didn't want 650b stuff to have to sell. Also. So cheap.

So I bought a Roberts 653 f+f from Hilary Stone recently. Its fairly tatty sort of metallic green coloured. My plan was to build it as a fixed gear winter trainer for the time being.
I will need to source/ build a WI ENO rear wheel as it has vertical dropouts.
Currently I'm toying with two ideas.
finish the build with some modern SRAM s500 levers and a front caliper, deda OS bars and stem with a deda converter. It wont look pretty but it will do the job nicely.
source some dura ace 90s levers, caliper, cranks plus Cinelli bar quill stem combo for a largely period correct build that will be aesthetically more pleasing.
Any thoughts I can't decide.

Na, it will be, for a little while at least. If I add another road bike, it'll be a carbon disc job but that won't be until next year, but if I get anything in the near future it'll be something fixed.
I've found that the versatility of the Cross Check so far has been very useful. Does the shopping, but it's also doing all of my road riding at the moment. Hence why I can't really justify a third bike after the Rychtarski arrives.

Sourcing period correct parts is pretty easy and will look better I guess.
A second hand lever can be had for a lot less money.
