He made it pretty clear that he thought it was six of one and half a dozen of the other. Another chap who saw it felt differently but the guy was a typical goon and had no itention of doing anything - in fact, he got quite angry when it was suggested that he was responsible, when I refused his hand to help me up, and when I said 'get the fuck off my bike' as he tried to 'fix' it. A+ goon, then.

I need to stop getting pissed off. Remonstrated with a driver who then drove into me and then drove off. None of the witnesses got his number plate, one witness got the details of the bus that might have got it on camera, but that's about it. Guy was a fucking cunt.

Girlfriend vetoed me riding a different bike into work. I'm sure I would have felt better on a bike.

In my on the floor daze while waiting for ambo and police I feel like I saw a polo player hovering amid the other witnesses, anyone on here?

Came off my bike last night, descending and hit some slippy stuff, front wheel went out from under me. I've got a broken hip, surgery tomorrow. Totalled my helmet, but head okay and shoulder is only badly bruised. Think it'll be a while before I'm back on the bike :[

On Trinity Road @ around 1:45pm today a male cyclist was hit by a car. Not seen the impact but the windscreen on the car was broken and the cyclist was lying a couple of meters in front. The police and ambulance attended. The guy was moving his arms and legs but was immobilised and taken away in the ambulance.

Currently sat in A&E at the PRU in Farnborough.

Was heading out on a training ride tonight, filtering up the inside of cars sat waiting for the lights at the junction by West Wickham station when a passenger in a car decided to open his door without looking. I hit the door with my chest. Ouch. Waiting for an x-Ray on my ribs and sternum.

Front wheel pringled, shifter banged, not sure on any other damage yet.

Bugger.

I'm still in trauma ward, started hobbling around on a zimmer frame today.

Nothing broken thankfully. Got industrial strength painkillers though. Reckon I'm going to need them for a week or so.

@hillbilly suffered the same a couple of years back and is back racing like a champ. Takes time to recover but can be done.

Shit, sounds worse than mine but if they've operated and you're up and about already you should be back riding way before I was. I was off the bike fit 3 months, because of where the fracture was. Good luck with the recovery and the best advise I can give you is to do what the doctors tell you.

Cheers lads, I had a 'dynamic hip screw' operation on Friday, on crutches now with ok mobility, sent back home last night. They say it'll be three months till back on the bike, I was getting quite fit as well :[
