The hypocrisy of Jalabert is breathtaking. He is, we should remind ourselves, someone who lies under oath to the French Senate and can't tell the truth on his own, well established, doping.
Well played Matt Rendell, Gary Imlach and all of the ITV Cycling team.

Nice link and video. Ta.

Jalabert definitely a cunt. Hypocritical cunt at that.
Are we sure that our commentators are clean? I would like to think that Ned Boulting and Carlton Kirby have never taken any performance enhancing drugs - there is no evidence to suggest that they have - but what of Kelly and Boardman? They were both very successful in a time when doping was rife. How confident are we that they were clean?

I'd like to see biopassport data alongside a power profile for each poster in this thread. I've seen some of them spinning their legs at 110, sometimes 120 rpm. It's extraordinary.

Neither are brazenly insinuating, while abusing their position in the medias eye to give themselves a platform that Froome is doping. That's the difference.
And Boardman is cleaner than clean. No one would dare even insinuate otherwise.
And Kelly works for Eurosport, none of his business. -

Sagan really is amazing.
-
• #2108
Yeah, he's been even more amazing this year and completely deserves that green jersey. And he's still young too. He's a modern day Sean Kelly.
-
• #2109
Great to watch Sagan, everyone loves a trier
-
• #2110
He really isn't.

Sagan is the hero of the Tour. Piloting Alberto, getting bottles, being in breaks, getting back to the bunch all the time after mechanicals etc. and finishing top 5 despite all that almost every day, the guy deserves a team of domestiques.
-
• #2112
He's got the most amazing voice.

I just had a quick look at Kelly's palmares, and he didn't start picking up major wins until he was 26.
Sagan is amazingly talented - hopefully he can start converting that into wins in the major races. I'm also enjoying him being the cartoon hero of the tour.

My point was more to do with their respective characters, rather than their palmares.
-
• #2115
their respective characters
What? Kelly as taciturn 'hardman' and Sagan as plucky cuddly 'little Pete'?

In other news....Yates the elder has been banned from today's stage for being the driver of Tinkoff's team car from which a mechanic hurled a bidon at a media motorcycle that was deemed to be getting in the way.

Piss Froome seems to be quite collected when responded to comments about doping. Probably had a bifter to steady the temper.

On another note, I've warmed to Cavandish this year. I don't why he just seems a bit more humble n human this year. I hope he wins in Paris, I'm not aware of any claims about him being a doper. That means when he finally gets to the top of the most wins record he'd have knocked off the top doper.

Fig on. You do appreciate that Yates the elder is no relation to the twins.
-
• #2120
@bluebikerider But surely Cav was at Sky for a year and was involved with British Cycling. He must know Brailsford and so, unless proved to the contrary, he must be a doper as he has won races.

And all this time I thought Sean had a secret 'baby mother'...

Good piece in the Guardian about the sniping Froome is receiving. Interesting to hear voices from within the peloton coming out to defend them, from rival teams and riders.

Fast, exceptional bike handling, will win monuments, could eventually get into the top 10 on a GC if he targeted it. Oh, and 4 green Jerseys. Definitely different personalities though.
Jalabert definitely a cunt. Hypocritical cunt at that.
