  • It doesn't count if you took the picture

  • stood next to the double //DRK

  • Change the rules mid-game..

  • Dude we just do stuff for fun. We call it a team because that's what we think it is. We also friends, mates who like to ride together. We like the community that London has and we like racing. Correct me if am wrong but we don't bad mouth people when they stand right next to you and tell others to stay away because we gonna crash everyone. That comes across douchey. We might do some things wrong but we don't look down on people.

  • Great photos, thanks for sharing.

  • Doing stuff for fun is great, more power to you for that. Sorry if it came across that I was bad mouthing you, but when the first thing posted on the forum about you is a video of someone pointlessly whip skidding and needlessly skimming past pedestrians, it doesn't bode well. In fact it makes the lot of you look like every other kid that's bought their first fixie and now thinks they're a courier.
Frankly I was trying to stay away from anyone I was unsure of at the RHC, and the constant crashes justified that. Not saying you're bad cyclists or anything, but going round regents park and that doesn't really teach you how to ride in a group at pace safely and I've never seen any of you at a velodrome or in a road race (you could have been, I just haven't seen it).
I think you came across better than I was expecting at the RHC, unlike that weapon in the attaquer kit who nearly skidded in to me.

  • Second what Jevi said. We're getting into racing more now and you will certainly see us around. Definitely not my style to judge anyone, especially the kids who are new to this. Last year I was riding my first ever fixed bike with straps and now raced at red hook and all thanks to the friendly community, that was always supportive unlike some of the people on the forum. That's my 2pence here

Swear I'm not trying to be a dick but it's lines like this that makes me feel better for not taking part. I know racing means crashes but RHC sounded ridic. Well done to the NLThundercats for showing up strong and keeping it rubber side down. Seems like a crazy place to try and cut your teeth.

  • Come on dude, riding fixed isn't that difficult..

  • There was a lot of first timers there and, to be honest, most of them held it together quite well. Everyone has to start somewhere. The gnarliest crashes seemed to affect some of the most experienced riders who thought they could go flying off on their first lap and totally misjudge the course.

I just wish there were more crits like this in the UK. Don't fancy flying out to Europe every month and Mrs roboto wouldn't be too happy about it either.

  • This. Fixed crits are increasing in popularity on the continent and the USA, but now it's cut from the Nocturne (Can't see the reason why FACE couldn't do it and support RHC) and cut from the Nottingham cycle festival...
VeloSurMer have one late Sept though.

  • That's ok man @853Superfly we're a track team consisting of 7 male riders and a female rider but we've started a community outside of the forum. We all ride track bikes on the road so have made a few internal rivals, I don't know why, we're all nice guys and we mean business but for some reason we've been labeled a few times as hipster skidders, you know the same insults over and over.

We're working with a lot of brands atm making videos for adverts etc and quickly making a name for ourselves in the industry and we like to put back into the community by organising events and giving away prizes for comps and races. We have a checkpoint race next Friday your all welcome.

Oh for goodness sakes get over yourselves.

Someone from your club posted a video on the internet and they got called out for riding like selfish, dangerous arseholes. That isn't invalidated no matter how nice any of you are outside of that video.

Try learning from it instead of being all "haters gonna hate [shrug]".

  • Like most people, ELF are relatively sound in person but could come across better online. LFGSS loves to h8.

  • We are talking about attitude and views of fellow riders prior RHC but that's ok if you want to bring the videos up. And yes we have learned something from those videos. They attract sponsors and support whether anyone likes it or not. That allows us to set up events and give back to community which for us is a priority. We are over ourselves.

  • I'm a dick on the internet and IRL, how does that work?

  • You're just a special snowflake

  • I think with events like rhc london and the amount of british riders a british crit scene is likely to follow over the next few years @roboto
