There was a lot of first timers there and, to be honest, most of them held it together quite well. Everyone has to start somewhere. The gnarliest crashes seemed to affect some of the most experienced riders who thought they could go flying off on their first lap and totally misjudge the course.
I just wish there were more crits like this in the UK. Don't fancy flying out to Europe every month and Mrs roboto wouldn't be too happy about it either.
This. Fixed crits are increasing in popularity on the continent and the USA, but now it's cut from the Nocturne (Can't see the reason why FACE couldn't do it and support RHC) and cut from the Nottingham cycle festival...
