I tend to use the £1.99 service that delivers to a local corner shop. Get a text/email to tell me when it has arrived and I collect it at my leisure. They're open from 7 am to 11 pm.
Never had to wait more than 2 days, and only once were the haribos missing!
Sod's law it'll go pear shaped next time I order something 😀
Not had to deal with customer service personally - on a couple of occasions I ordered the wrong size/fit and returned (again via said corner shop at no charge) with credit in a few days.
