At some point in the last 2k's Froome did a fair impression of a nodder. Hands wide on the bars, spinning too fast, bike wobbling, shoulders moving.

I suppose the 10 days of bike racing might be an excuse.

In fact one of the biggest insults I've ever had is when my mate said Froome reminded him of me, in terms of how we sit on a bike.

So fucking fed up of the cynicism towards absolutely everyone this year. Apparently most people that watch the Tour don't actually like bike racing, or at least Twitter would make you think that.

That's probably the only thing that I would take as a compliment when it comes to comparisons. I'm happy to look like a drunk spider if it means I can cycle up a fucking mountain full-pelt without stopping to vomit.

I'm beginning to wonder if these loons know anything about bike racing. What do they think clean racing looks like?

@andyp It is sad for the sport, but I guess it is the natural desire not to be made to look like a chump again - be cynical from the start and you won't look like an idiot if something happens...

I'd rather enjoy my life and the sport while I can. If it comes back to bite me I'm sure I'll somehow deal with the disappointment.

I'm trying to remember what Jonathon Wilson says about people expecting entertainment from football. You shouldn't. They're trying to win/not lose. You're watching that.

Isn't G being able to ride with GC riders a sign of clean racing? There's been two hard days of racing for the GC riders, carrying fatigue so can't attack like they could in doping era?

G has worked, but not attacked which surely causes the damage.

It's a sign of him being as strong as the riders he's riding with. I don't think you can take much more from it than that.
