  • One size wider rather than larger, as it get a tiny bit less height than on narrow rims.

    @owl probably best to go for 25mm GP4000s, best thing about wide rims is that the 25mm feel like 28mm.

  • Why GP4000s over Stradas? Twice the price is punchy, do you not think the Stradas are up to it re puncture protection?

  • Strada is a nice tyres, it felt like a faster version of the Panaracer, but that's about it.

    Good new is that the Strada come up less than advertised, meaning that after inflation at 120psi overnight, deflate back to 80psi and it end up being exactly as measured.

    I used to have Strada on 17mm internal rims, it measured up exactly 28mm after a couple weeks (was 25mm when first mounted).

    I recommend GP4000s or Open Pave if you want a much bigger difference compared to riding on Panaracer in the past.
