  • Chris Boardman mentioned something about this on his recent TV spot about Utrecht. He mentioned that in spite of all the bikes he'd not seen one single 'cyclist' just 'people on bikes'. I think its a fairly common and widely accepted distinction (albiet not a great one).

    Personally I'd rather see more 'people on bikes' than more cyclists.

  • Exactly my sentiment, this is what I like to see more in the UK, I would like people to look and go "I can ride like that to work" rather than "that look hard work with all the bright yellow, helmet, and bulky waterproof trouser"
