Has 99% Invisible had a mention yet?
design, architecture and unseen influence, accidental or intentional

99% Invisible is amazing, I gave them some dollah in their kickstarter appeal. Got a couple of nice notepads in exchange.
I'm a bit of a podcast junkie - along with 99PI I would also highly recommend:
KCRW's UnFictional
Snap Judgement
Radio Diaries
Love + Radio
Answer Me This!
Everything Is Stories
RadioLab
and of course This American LifeHappy podcasting.

Some excellent recommendations on this page, thanks! I'm an unapologetic Radio 4 junkie, especially the psychology/ethics/science series, so it's good to have some other material on my radar. Also a huge fan of The Bike Show. Aside from the interesting content, Jack's appreciation of the aesthetics and nuances of sound (inside and outside, recorded and live), and radio as a unique medium (which I think taps in to one's imagination like no other) really shines through.

Are there any road cycling podcasts worth listening to?
I was hoping for a bit of irreverent Tour chat plus other stuff. -
• #62
Cycling Podcast is the best podcast - though not that irreverent. (Actually - that's a disservice to them. The daily stuff from the Tour is light-hearted as well as factual and they are getting better at pitching the right amount of 'banter'. I found that ITV podcast has way too much)
Velocast is occasionally tongue in cheek but there's a paywall.
The most irreverent road cycling podcast is the Unofficial, Unsanctioned UCI Women's Cycling Podcast. I listen to it sometimes just for the swearing and laughing. Cheers me right up.

I'm very much enjoying the daily tdf coverage on The Cycling Podcast. I think Lionel might be my hero and I like the mix of interesting, almost journalistic info and dry bants between the three of them. I also like how they are occasionally drunk.

^I like all of that plus I do like the way the French lady - Richard's wife - pronounces 'Jaguar'.

What podcast players/podcatchers are people using at the moment?
I'm currently using Player FM which is functionally OK but is developing glitches so thinking about trying something different. Android for preference.

I've been listening to The Joe Rogan Experiance alot recently, I think it is listed as a comedy podcast but quite a variety of guests and topics covered, and dispite most of them being 3 hours long there have only been a couple I haven't listened to the whole way through. He had Lance Armstrong on a couple of weeks ago which may be of interest to some of you.

I'm trawling my way through the Nerdist back catalogue at the moment. Some wonderful stuff in there. It's pretty much an hour of conversation bookended by some non-commital plugging. Some brilliant stories and insights into the lives behind some of the icons of nerd culture.

If anyone loves very geeky audiodrama podcasts i'd highly recommend Tanis, The Black Tapes podcast and Limetown.
I wrote a piece about various cycling podcasts recently:
It's mainly about The Cycling Podcast but looks at some of the other ones as well.

Also, I'm on Jack Thurston's The Bike Show podcast talking about L'Eroica Britannia and Rapha Tempest Festivals.
